What's that
May 2nd this show at 123 Pleasant Street in Morgantown, WV
We are wrapping up the recording for our side of the split with Cynarae. It has been going well and the artwork is huge. We have played the split straight through for a few shows now, and the song order feels good. I think we have given as much live feel to a multi track studio recording, as possible.

SSDD
OMEN
Un-apologetically apathetic
Sinking Ships
Not on the Ground
The Destroyer
This is our side of the 12" split with Cynarae that A389 Records is putting out later this spring. We are over halfway done recording at the moment.
This will be the majority of our set list, with another 1-2 songs from past releases. So come get an idea of what our side will sound like at some upcoming shows.

We are working on a design to add to the Hellfish store in addition to the one already up

By the time we have the split we will have a new design available at shows and on our big cartel. http://www.ancientshoresband.bigcartel.com
Here is Un-apologetically apathetic live at an awesome show we played in Bethlehem, PA in February:

Prep
As of February 13th we are done writing for our side of the A389 split with Cynarae. Our side clocks in at roughly 21 mins.
SSDD
Omen
Un-apologetically Apathetic
Forget the Sinking Ships
Untitled
Untitled
That is our side. I doubt we will release any artwork previews before it, or anything like that really. You will know when it is coming out and where you can get it.
Day 1 of preparation

We are looking very forward to the next step in the process. The writing sessions for this record have been interesting. We wrote 'Step to the Edge' basically in the order they are on the record, and in a matter of a couple months. This group of songs have been written and played live (some of them anyway) over a longer period of time, and changed. These songs will seemingly integrate a live feeling, and also something of a concept in musical and lyrical terms. We talked about that initially, and basically decided that if we fell in to it, then we would go with it. Coming out of it, there seems to be a balance of live rigidity and thorough creative effort. We will not claim that we went away from doing whatever the fuck each person wants to do, because it is what works for us.
This is an upcoming show.

It might very well become an annual event. The person putting it on is a very hard working person so we are grateful to be a part of it.
If you do not have a record player, then just pick up the digital version of our 'Step to the Edge' EP from A389 Records.

Crinkle Cut
Live footage of SSDD, a track from our forthcoming split with Seattle's Cynarae.
Right now we are playing that song, 'Forget the Sinking Ships', and 'Unapologetic-ally Apathetic', which are all new tracks to be featured on the split. 'Omen' has yet to hit the set list. We actually have 3 more songs in process right now. We'll record everything we want to over the next few weeks, arrange our half of the split, and be ready to release something there after with music that does not go to the split. Whew. Take a breath.
We are working on a collaborative song with Cynarae where basically we listen to a song and add to it what we would, and write in to it as well. It has been an interesting process, and one with a few different avenues. If you want to do this in the future all you need to know is have lots of open communication and create your own template; you will not get it wrong .

Fellers
We have some shows finalized, and some more on the way but we won't even mention those until they are set...but if they go through they will be pretty awesome.
Jan 5: 123 Pleasant Street Morgantown, WV. Show at 10pm. $5

Jan 15: Parkersburg, WV with Homewrecker Doors at 6:30. $6

Feb 2: 123 Pleasant Street with Full of Hell and more. Doors at 8. $5
Feb 3: The Secret Art Space. Bethlehem, PA. with Full of Hell Time TBA Cost TBD
We have solidified 4 whole songs (the aforementioned ones) for our upcoming split 12" with Cynarae. It will arrive courtesy of A389 Records and we will update with recording process info. We are playing 3 of them in our set, and hope to add 2 more to finish out the split. When we say solidified, we mean they are written, played, and listened to. We all got in the habit of exposing ourselves to the songs as we were writing them, and that has helped out a lot. We are definitely more confident that as listeners, they are very enjoyable songs. We like to write a lot, and one very important aspect of that is the end result. We want these songs to be close enough to us, that we would listen to them if it was another band writing them. It sounds like an oxy moron, but basically we just want to write good shit.
Check out the big cartel for our latest shirts and stuff, as well as all those links at the bottom of the page.
